The Association for Publishing Education brings together HE institutions that offer Publishing studies, and bodies and individuals that work with those institutions.

The Association was founded in 1999 by Professor Alistair McCleery of Napier University and Dr Joan Burks of the London College of Communication. APE now boasts a membership that includes all UK Universities offering Publishing studies, as well as a growing body of professional and institutional partners, both in the UK and internationally.
